ASSIGNMENT_1_FAB:

My original plans for the first Assignment were a bit more dynamic and interesting than what ultimately came out for the physical model. Another lesson learned in the importance of completion of design process from analog to digital.

Once I realized the design needed to account for the thickness of acrylic, I decided for simplicity to change this original scheme into something a lot more cubic and straightforward.

The end result was a smaller rectangular prism holding the screw which fit in to the bolted piece, snug in the large cube.

What I got out of this first Assignment is how crucial it is to start more detailed and exact in the analog phase, to prevent mistakes and to work more efficiently when moving into digital modeling. The great success of the first assignment was learning from these mistakes and ready to advance to the next assignment in a much more comprehensive, regimented manner.
