Through this assignment I learnt that testing and experimentation is key to friction fit design. I also learned the properties of acrylic and how to prevent melting/burning of the material, which is achieved by keeping the protective layer on while laser cutting. In evaluation, I feel that I have been successful in creating the finger joinery but I definitely could have had a more interesting design and paid better attention to the craft.
