I started thinking about this project in terms of making something useful out of the two bloxes. I soon realized that I didn't have enough material so I simplified my design to create two L's interlocked together. One thing I learnt from this project is no matter how precise one tries to be, to get the exact friction fit one needs to test and try a few times because not only does the material properties change according to temperature (acrylic being a little melted straight out of the laser cutter) or the size of screw because of rust. Keeping time and preparing for trial and error is, I think the best solution towards this kind of problem.
