Group Work:
Group dynamics challenged me the most. Working by myself I’m
able to make my own schedule and change gears when a conflict comes up. Syncing
up our group’s schedules and work habits forced everyone—especially me—to learn
how to be effectively flexible.
Material:
We made the decision to use only wood. Our joinery varied in
material but we challenged ourselves to create a uniform structure solely of
birch and pine. Learning the limits and characteristics of these two wood types
happened as we went along with the construction process. It would have been
nice to know that birch ply likes to curl and pine splits within a 1/2in of not
being reinforced (without fail).
Structural Integrity:
Shooting in the dark- I still don’t know what exactly is
holding it up.
