Assignment 6- Mental Armor (Carolina Tamayo)

When walking through a building, people hardly notice the corners. Corners are simply transitory elements that indicate direction. Instead, people focus on the space or room that lies beyond the corner.

For this assignment, I wanted people to become aware of corners; make them realize that these corners can also become important spaces. In order to do this, I overlaid a corner with wooden textures and picture frames. I added color in order for it to grab more attention.

Because of the project scale, I decided the frame could go in a corner of my room (I wanted it to be more personalized). However, this same idea can be applied at a bigger scale, like public buildings or exterior walls.
