When this project was assigned, I was working on a model in studio and realized how frustrating it was to work with large sheets of material while also moving my laptop and wires around to dodge the blade of my X-Acto. My solution was to create a cantilevered laptop stand which would elevate my laptop and wires just enough to keep them out of the way. The stand projects out one foot and has four to five inches of clearance underneath. The stand itself has only six pieces in total and fits on any studio desk without compromising the integrity of the desk.
