Assignment5_Reflection_GarrettRauck(Super, super, super-duper Super Trooper party pooper late.)

The most powerful lesson I took away from the Hoop House project was that designing on paper is in a whole different playing field than actually constructing the thing. Before this project, designing meant having a general idea of the materials to be used and how they might be composed to create the larger structure. The Hoop House, however, forced us to work out the design down to the nuts and bolts. This was a new experience for us; though, I see it as incredibly valuable. I learned that working with the actual materials throughout the design process is VERY important. It allows you to see how the materials will truly interact, and the issues raised from this experimentation will help to inform and clarify the design so that building the actual structure goes much more smoothly.
