Upon reading the assignment, I struggled a great deal on coming up with something that could go further than this assignment, and that would not be done just to get it done. For this years holiday season, I had already designed gifts for the female members of my family to be 3d printed and wanted to give my dad something that was just as personal and that used some of the skills I learned in school. For this project I designed a simple table with an engraved/pocketed thing of his organic soap logo and his Mandarin name. I think the most difficult part was creating tool paths that worked- the actual CNCing went off without a hitch. I regret not getting higher quality plywood. Also it is a little bit unstable due to over-sanding.
